1 It might be needed if existing system is somewhat outdated so it is too much
2 work to get all the necessary functionality into it before starting a new
3 install (kernel 2.2.x but XFS and LVM are required on a new sys. Just
4 replacing the kernel with 2.4 isn't likey to work as few tools will require
5 to be updated before that).
6 In fact I was thinking about such route at some point, but did not have
7 anought reason to try :). Nice to know that it works.
