26 I see two possibilities for the problem here:
27 - your harddisk is full and it locks on that (it shouldn't crash on it
28 though)
29 - Some other piece of hardware is broken (processor or memory)

31 This behaviour should never turn up in a normal functioning system. If I
32 needed to guess, your processor is overheating, and it is triggered by
33 the decompression.
