7 Exactly. Right now, with no USE flag, and no differentiation,
8 maintainers are kind of just stepping on each others toes. There's
9 simply no protocol for dealing with the increasingly aggressive
10 upstream systemdification. With a global USE flags, maintainers can
11 then think about things in terms of "okay, the systemd world likes it
12 this way; the rest of the world likes it this way... therefore: use
13 systemd && kitten_killer".
