5 As with everything, it depends on the individual. One can certainly cut
6 their teeth and learn/contribute a lot through proxy maint, but at the
7 same time, they could just do the bare minimum to keep their package
8 updated. The idea behind the project is to facility user contributions.
9 Part of that includes ensuring proper QA and writing good, well formed
10 ebuilds. This certainly provides the opportunity to get an individual
11 moving toward developership, but obviously, once again, depends on the
12 individual.
