Well, the main idea I try to put up here is to expose new ebuilds as much as |
2 |
possible by pushing ALL submissions to the portage tree for people who want |
3 |
to see what's up on the table, while maintaining only the stable core access |
4 |
for people who only need thoroughly tested stuff. |
5 |
If something can be easily setup to simplify ebuild submission process this |
6 |
is fine and in fact does not change much the idea. bugs.gentoo.org is pretty |
7 |
simple IMHO, and majority of users are developers, while as far as I can tell |
8 |
linux newcomers are not uncommon to gentoo either. |
9 |
Please see my new post for clarification. In short I feel that it is |
10 |
necessary to introduce multiple ebuild-state levels to better represent the |
11 |
"real-world life of a package", which will also help end-users to follow the |
12 |
stock and contribute to what he feels necessary even just voting for package |
13 |
he wants to see. |
