There are *build time* problems with the alsa-driver package for rc3 |

(bug #7291). This is the only reason that the rc3 ebuilds are still |

masked. If the driver compiles for you, then, indeed, it works very |

nicely. |

Note that at some point another dev unmasked rc3 by accident. Within |

the next several hours I received three bug reports of failed |

compilations. ;^) So, in other words, I don't feel right about |
