10 It is OK to disagree with the decision, but having gone through the
11 GLEP process this is about as deliberative and formal as it gets

14 It is pretty rare for the council to be asked to approve a change that
15 isn't controversial. For the most part devs are fairly free to just
16 implement non-controversial changes by announcing them on -dev and
17 proceeding if there seems to be consensus.

19 We're a community-based distro. We're all here because we care a lot
20 - not for the paycheck. I think feeling passionate about
21 changes/issues/etc is pretty normal.
