Actually, that sounds like a great idea. Not dumping the -dev list |

entirely, but moving most development stuff that's restricted to a |

certain area to a list specific to it. For example, we already have |

-portage-dev, -releng, -desktop et al., although many are underused. We |

could add a list for each project to have its development on. |

This is not artificial, it's based upon the size of groups people can |

effectively work in. George has posted on this a number of times. I |

suspect this is a major contributor to the ineffectiveness of -dev recently. |
