1 Not sure of the relevancy, but I always found lfs' benchmark for
2 compile times useful. IIRC, they say time the compile time of binutils, and
3 then everything else is said to compile in percentages of that
4 (basically, the compile time of binutils is considered one BSU,
5 buildtime standard unit, and everything else is measured in BSU's). The
6 advantage there is that there is only one number that is machine
7 specific, everything else can be a general extrapolation from it. Just a
