it's most likely caused by PaX and of course it's not intended. i did
fix some PAE/NX related bugs, i'd appreciate if you could give the PaX
(or grsecurity) test patches a try. they're in grsecurity.net/~paxguy1
and grsecurity.net/~spender, respectively. also, i'd like to know if
you're using EFI as i had to fix stuff there but can't test it myself.
