I don't use XMail and can therefore only be semi-helpful. |

Seems like the start-stop-deamon wants to start var/MailRoot/bin/XMail, |

hence: Does it exist and does it have the proper permissions? |

You can also check if there are any lock files or similar things in /var left |

over by an unclean shutdown of the daemon that now block its restart. |
