Hi Caleb,

I said there was talk of a vote, I didn't say we were going to vote.

At this point no one really knows who has control of the foundation's
assets legally (or if they do they have not made it clear to anyone).
We are still getting the paperwork together regarding our past
activities (Grant has been working hard on this for us with assistance
from Renat).

It would be unfortunate to have a vote only to have it have no legal
merit and have the Foundation go the other way (in laymans terms,
ignore the vote and do whatever).

With regards to users voting, I know robbat2 is working on a bunch of
surveys; I don't have a timeline for those yet.  If we do vote I doubt
users would get one as there is no way to do things like identity
verification or detect vote tampering (which a dev-only vote can
accomplish).

The surveys give us aggregate data over time which I think (if we can
manage to get them out and convince people to take them) will help us
figure out what users want on a larger scale.
