Mart,

All good and valid thoughts. Without going into detail on each. A simple
solution may be a simple opt in/out for Gentoo staff/developers. As part of
recruitment process could simply ask;

"Do you want to be a member in the Foundation?"

If you opt out, you can simply request to opt in the future. In simplest form.

Up to others but that would maybe address both issues. Not do auto inclusion,
but provide easy means for those directly involved in Gentoo to be members.

Leaving the rest for contributors and others to apply. For simplicity, those
directly involved should not have to apply for membership. But simply opt in
or out of membership at any time. During joining, or at any point there after.

Not meant for people be join then leaving, rejoining, etc. Simply one could
join later, or if they had joined, leave and remain just a dev or staff.
