9 There are enough well organized FOSS projects, that Gentoo could adopt one of
10 those models or a hybrid. Just have to look around and cherry pick or find a
11 model that is close enough and adopt similar.

13 Many have corporate sponsors, community members, contributors, etc. All are
14 different, but lots of examples, Gnome, Apache, FreeBSD, just to name some we
15 all know. There are many more out there.
