Sage is fully compatible with ecls 12.12.1 and 13.1.5. |

However I am warning people wanting to use maxima 5.30 |

If you don't want that to happen to you, stick to maxima 5.29.1. |

The overlay currently provides its own version of |

ecls 12.12.1-r5 : while Andrey integrated a patch I wrote |

to sanitize asdf 3 handling in this version, it needed an extra |

cherry picked patch from upstream to be completely sane. |

Both of these ebuilds have a fix by Martin to build |

the naxima ecls library that is used by sage. |

Building that library, and then building a working library, |

was quite challenging and I cannot thank Martin enough for |

sticking at it until he was done. |
