I just noticed that I don't have a dri module either... :-/ |
4 |
-> fglrx has it's own dri module called fglrx_dri.so. Do you have this |
5 |
in your module path? |

Just noticed this in your later mail: |

|

(WW) fglrx(0): *********************************************** |

(WW) fglrx(0): * DRI initialization failed! * |
11 |
(WW) fglrx(0): * (maybe driver kernel module missing or bad) * |
12 |
(WW) fglrx(0): * 2D acceleraton available (MMIO) * |
13 |
(WW) fglrx(0): * no 3D acceleration available * |

Did you compile the ati-drivers against the kernel you're intending to |
17 |
use? Also, do you have pcie bus support enabled? I assume your card is |
18 |
not an AGP card... Did you get any warnings about kernel configuration |
19 |
when you compiled the ati-drivers? Check your emerge logs... |

Btw, I'm running 32-bit here so there may be some differences (like |
22 |
module paths as others have mentioned). |

Attaching my xorg.log in the hopes that you may find something useful |
25 |
out of it. |
