I've just done an "eix-sync" followed by an "emerge -NuD world" and |

besides from gwenview not wanting to build, things appeared to go well. |

I've rebooted and now noticed that the task bar, or whatever it's |

called, now doesn't want to autohide. If I go to the rhs and click on |
| 6 |
the three little horizontal stripes, I get, amongst other things, the |
| 7 |
option for "More settings". Selecting this gives a dialigue/panel that |
| 8 |
lists the visibility options. |

Even though I have "Autohide" selected, the thingy won't autohide. This |

is a real pain as I have the task bar running across the top of the |
| 12 |
screen and not autohiding means that it sits over the title bar of apps |
| 13 |
that are full screen. Due to this I can't change the position or size of |
| 14 |
the apps windows. I've moved the task bar to the bottom of the screen |
| 15 |
and the behaviour persists, not autohiding. |

Has anyone else come across this problem and fixed it or got any idea |

as to how I can fix it? |
