9 That only works if you have dmix enabled and set all audio sources to use the
10 dmix devices as the default audio device. If you don't have an alsa
11 configuration in ~/.asoundrc or /etc/asound.conf dmix should be enabled
12 by default, in which case it might be that one of the audio sources is
13 grabbing the hardware device directly instead of going through the
14 default device. See [1] for details.
