Probably both are caused by the same thing, X likes rounded corners as much as |

any other corners. It is up to the wm that to do with them. Most applications |

can deal with the xshape extension ok. |

So, your problem is, most likely, to be caused by the lack of such extension. |

Check your xorg.conf, and make sure you have this line on it, and it is not |

commented out. |
