1 As regarding the partitioning, I would recommend using LVM2. Then no
2 matter how you might mess up your partitioning in the beginning you can
3 change it to suit your needs by resizing it on the fly - live - without
4 rebooting or even unmounting.

8 fdisking is just so.... 1980's - even microsoft is using LVMs these days
9 (forget what they call it though) - and they pretty much adopt ever hot
10 technology absolutely dead last (IP, for example).
