7 Yes it will, but with the correct information. the problem is that the
8 old file had allocated eth0 and eth1 to MAC addresses not present in that
9 machine. It will be recreated with correct MAC addresses for eth0 and
10 eth1, so that the two cards will always be named the same way on each
11 boot.

13 I can see the reason for doing this, if you have two network cards it
14 means they never get swapped over, without having to mess around with
15 module loading order (which is an unreliable hack anyway).
