Thanks for the reposnses guys! GMail does do a virus check and doesn't |
47 |
see anything so probably it isn't that problem. Also I fired up my Mac |
48 |
Mini as well as my last Win XP machine. Neither of them can display |
49 |
the files so most likely they are hosed somehow. |

|

I emerged macutil and see these executables get installed: |
52 |
|
53 |
>>> /usr/bin/binhex |
54 |
>>> /usr/bin/macstream |
55 |
>>> /usr/bin/frommac |
56 |
>>> /usr/bin/macsave |
57 |
>>> /usr/bin/hexbin |
58 |
>>> /usr/bin/tomac |
59 |
>>> /usr/bin/macunpack |
60 |
|
61 |
binhex tells me it's not a Mac binary. frommac just hangs and I have to kill it. |
62 |
|
63 |
hexedit show this in the header: |

It seems that the macutil app binhex would have been a reasonable |
74 |
choice but it doesn't seem to work. |
75 |
|
76 |
Any more ideas? |
77 |
|
78 |
Thanks, |
