11 There's a bug related to this.¹ Until recently, Firefox with
12 USE="bindist" did just result in an unbranded Firefox, but now it
13 results in an unbranded Firefox which also behaves significantly
14 differently than branded Firefox. I suspect this has to do with
15 upstream's move to allowing only Mozilla-signed extensions in branded
16 Firefoxes, whereas unsigned extensions will continue to work in
17 unbranded Firefoxes,² but I haven't tried to get to the details.
