11 cdrecord supports DVDs since March 1998 which makes it the third DVD writing
12 software worldwide and the first OSS DVD writing software.

14 cdrecord supports writing BD media since July 2007 which is nearly 10 years

17 growisofs on the other side is unmaintained since 9 years and there already
18 have been reported problems where growisofs could not be used while cdrecord
