I expected to see all the versions of the package known to Portage as of |

the time that I did the search. That *is* the point of eix, is it not :-) ? |

As I said, the database has been updated multiple times, but eix is no |

longer picking up the most recent updates to my Portage tree, making the |

program unreliable for fast searches (since I cannot be sure that eix is |
