Hello, |
2 |
|
3 |
Background. |
4 |
One thing that intrigues me is that one storage |
5 |
server can intellegently store files from a variety |
6 |
of hardware devices. I like this concept, but, many |
7 |
of my devices are not common retail systems. Nor |
8 |
do I like the idea of my file being on a server |
9 |
under the control of others..... |
10 |
|
11 |
|
12 |
So I first need to use something like "owncloud" |
13 |
and build a single server at a one location? Then |
14 |
I need to build another server at a diffent location. |
15 |
2 or 3 physically differnt locations should work |
16 |
for my needs, for now. The File System to choose |
17 |
for this is an area where input from others is |
18 |
important. |
19 |
|
20 |
Suggests as to which packages(programs) to use |
21 |
would be of keen interest to me. Surely the iphone, |
22 |
Android and other devices are available are straightforward? |
23 |
|
24 |
Also, I want to be able to included various embedded |
25 |
products built by others, including firmware, bootloaders, |
26 |
logs, sources etc, as well as embedded devices I've had |
27 |
a hand in building. So a flexible framework to |
28 |
add unique (uncommon) hardware to this mix would |
29 |
be a critical need for this effort. I'm researching ideas |
30 |
and codes, so anything that pops into your mind |
31 |
would be of interest to me. |
