1 I'll go on a guess alsa got installed on the system. If that is correct,
2 please try a command as root in terminal if necessary or on console:

5 amixer set Master 100% unmute && alsactl store && aplay
6 /usr/share/sounds/alsa/Front_Center.wav
7 It's possible that doesn't work because /var/lib/alsa/asound.state exists
8 or /var/lock/alsa.lock exists.
9 If those two files do not exist and pulseaudio and/or pipewire hasn't
10 gummed up the works that should work.
