8 Usually the pavucontrol app does this. When a call starts, open
9 pavucontrol (or Applications -> Sound & Video -> PulseAudio Volume
10 Control), find your Skype call in the Streams list, right-click and
11 pick the device you want that call to use.

13 As the note at the bottom of the Streams tab says, this appears to
14 only modify the output device, not the input device. That would
15 explain why Skype stubbornly continued to use only the built-in mic in
16 my case.
