When I've had strange stuff like that happen, and from the posts of |

others I've read, the culprit more often than not turns out to be the |

keyboard going bad, maybe because it got wet or something, or for a |

wireless keyboard, a low battery or a bad link between the keyboard and |

its pickup). |

So... check to see if your numlock key is jammed on... It might be |

worthwhile to try swapping out the keyboard, just to be sure. If you're |

not in a place with others available, consider buying a junk keyboard for |

backup and testing purposes. They're available for well under US$10, if |

you look around. |
