8 True. NUMA is for Non Uniform Memory Access systems or roughly the
9 systems with several nodes, each with at least one core and some local
10 memory with lowest access times for that particular core.

12 Dual and quadcore like i7 or Phenom is simple SMP where all nodes see
13 memory through the same interface.
14 Modern multisocket i7-based or Opteron is NUMA...
