6 well, for a gentoo-based PMS that might not be a bad thing.. but I'd say
7 cache is out of the question, whether it is /var/lib or /var/db doesn't
8 matter too much to me, but it needs to be announced properly ahead of
9 time to adjust LVM2 volumes etc etc if impacting existing systems... I'd
10 mostly argue any such change should only affect new systems
