16 I just understand it so, that if a user submits a new ebuild he has to
17 in fact maintain it. So overall maintenance time required by his
18 operating system will be pretty high. Because besides the
19 'emerge --sync' and 'emerge -u world', he needs take care of "his"
20 ebuilds.

34 Yes, _initially_. This is what I agree with. That the points that you
35 propose will be applied only for initial import of ebuild. Until the
36 ebuild gets to portage tree. Then the developers take care of it. Of
37 course the note/recommendation can exist that user who submitted an
38 ebuild will help to maintain it also in future. But if not, (if the
39 user is mostly only a _user_ for whatever reason) the package will be
40 still maintained by developers.
