I'd like to recommend something like the sysutils category from the FreeBSD
ports system.  Things like load meters, battery meters, password
generators, and other misc system utility kind of stuff.  Some candidates
for this category would be:

kcpuload
knetload
xosview
lhinv

The purpose of this "sys-utils" category would be to store "Applications
related to the management, maintenance, or monitoring of the local system".
Software like cricket and mon do not fall into this category because their
scope extends beyond the local machine.

Also, I was thinking that an app-comms category is in order.  Apps stored
in this bin would be:

kermit
minicom
lrzsz
hylafax
viewfax
seyon

Basically this bin would be for "Applications for communication across
analog or serial lines and their support programs".
