Michał,

During the discussions around a possible Council/Trustees we have heard
that three current council members would find in difficult to serve on
the board of a legal entity, now you say "I don't think I would run" so
that rules out four of the current council, leaving three undeclared.

Its not finding Trustees that's the real issue its finding Foundation officers.

The distinction is blurred in the case of the Gentoo Foundation Inc as
Trustees have (mostly) doubled up as officers.

With dabbott stepping down as Secretary and Robbat2 having stepped
down as Treasurer to hand over to zlg, then stepped back up to fill
the office when zlg departed, the Foundation is in need of individuals
to fill offices.

There is nothing in the bylaws that prevents council members from
serving as Foundation officers. Rich0 did that for a while.
Nothing really changed there except Rich0 lost his vote on the board.

Adding three individuals to the list of potential candidates for trustees
will do nothing to help the foundation if those candidates will not/cannot
be officers.

I don't recall any serving council members asking the foundation if
they can be Secretary/Treasurer/whatever but that's maybe because
the bylaw has been misunderstood?

If that's the case, please talk to the trustees about an officer appointment
today.
