Hello everybody, |
2 |
|
3 |
I've setup grub on /dev/sda2 of a new SATA HD, listed |
4 |
in dmesg as /dev/sda. The other HDs are /dev/hda, |
5 |
which does present boot duty and /dev/hdb, containing |
6 |
/ etc. |
7 |
|
8 |
Before moving files from /dev/hdb, which apparently |
9 |
has an un-fixable boot sector, to /dev/sda, I'd like |
10 |
to be able to boot using the SATA drive then ditch |
11 |
/dev/hda. |
12 |
|
13 |
I note grub doesn't like root(sd0,1), returns "Error |
14 |
23: Error while parsing number". |
15 |
|
16 |
But what do I call it? hd0 and hd1 are taken. |
